Beat this the other day, and if you can get pass the huge amount of slurs the game is decent and the story is pretty nice.

The gameplay could be better, but GTA level of gameplay is asking a bit much from 2K.

Would love to see Mafia 4 expand on Lincoln working with the Colombians, that could be some epic shyt.

Aren’t the slurs part of it tho? I understand as a black man I don’t want to walk around hearing that shyt but at what point do we say that the shyt does happen or did happen in that way? If they’re doing a game set in that time period in that part of the country with a black man as the lead, I feel like it would be disingenuous for them not to include slurs and stares and people who are ignorant. It added to the game for me.

It didn’t affect me as it may affect others is what I’m saying. It gives a historical account of the times in that region which I understood completely. Some people still give words more power than they should, but me personally I had no problems, and actually made the action sequences more satisfying. I like the game.

If you are playing or purchasing a game set in the 60s with a Black Protag in the south you better expect it. Whoever is shocked by it is stupid af


The story and cutscenes were dope, gameplay was trash. Very dissapointed as i thought it would be bigger as i initially thought.

You have to take the back/white equation out of if though. I actually was loaned the game from a Filipino potna of mine and he was like at first, until I had to school him on the representation of race dynamics during those times. Some other cultures and even young black kids really don’t have a clue what nikkas went through during those days, and kept fighting just to get to the point to have a game developed like that and produced..

Mafia, like GTA doesnt use the same main characters, if it does go to columbia or Italy, expect a brand new character. Im done with Mafia, seeing how they fukked this game up, 3 was supposed to be one of the Best titles of 2017
