We need more games like this... Either we get open world Ubisoft clusterfukks or literal interactive cutscene movies like Until Dawn.

I want more linear narrative action games. This is a joy. Sony massively dropped the ball by getting away from what works for them.

So sick of games like Detroit Become Human, Until Dawn, Dark Picture anthology with no gameplay mechanic and terrible writing. So, it's the worst of both worlds.

Just completed the first beginning section and its pretty good so far. The intro to the mob boss was some boss shyt. So far liking it. Reminds me of Mafia 1 remastered. I wish Mafia 3 utilize that format and graphics.

Facts this might be better than GTA

The story def is better. Gameplay depth issues aside this is up there with GOTY for me. The cinematic experience is worth the price alone. The knife fights are dope too. I be running up and shanking mans right and left. That old school flavour is there and the driving is fun. Game will def be an underrated classic. Hopefully they drop some DLC in the future.

This franchise was always ass. Yall were just bamboozled by the setting/protag/messaging of 3. That game was shyt. They have never evolved past that AC1 gameplay loop
First Mafia game was at least something different back then. Was a low budget game that gained a pretty good fanbase of PC gamers. And that was slightly before the whole GTA clone generation, so playing a GTA-like game in 2002 was rare.

Other than that this franchise has nothing to offer. I liked the character of Mafia 3 but the game had serious technical problems. If you can't make a well functioning game, you are not gonna go far with it.
