There are literal parallels to Nazi Germany (Kirk and Horst Wessel, plus more...), and SEVERAL far-right, white ethnostate-preaching groups that have direct links to multiple Republican politicians.
The only things that can stop them now are the military (not happening), and MAGA doing a 180, but they follow based on faith.
Have you guys ever tried to convince a devout christian that God isn't real, or that the Bible isn't meant to be taken literally / wholeheartedly/ at face value?

Simply put- none, Roosevelt was the closest but his old age caught up to him and who knows if he would have really kept going after term 4- the house and senate would have fell into the republicans hands anyway and they would have added amendment 22 to to the constitution- FDR would have to pull of some sheisty stuff to prevent that which would have been the start of his dictorial run- but again he wasn’t there cognivetly
It’s hard to start a dictatorship in America because of the nature of it’s government, of the people by the people for the people, too many moving parts and checks and balances and free will amongst the masses to pull it off without going down in flames, a forceful take over of America just won’t ever happen in my opinion, Trump would have to instill enough belief in his loyalists and neutral parties in the white house to pull it off and i don’t think that’s gonna happen.
