I’m not buying it. Respectfully. I don’t know much of anything about comics but Ironman was supposed to be the “nerdy brainiac” character too and Robert Downey pulled that off flawlessly without coming off too plain or regular. They could have done better than Tobey Maguire - dude looks like a mouse.

Peter Parker is supposed to be an average nerdy white kid who any cac can see themselves in while growing up, I'm positive people would actually get upset if he was too good looking.

I actually saw TDK today on a flight and thought the same thing. Bruce coming off the helicopter with 3 attractive women only to still want Maggie. The part where joker is squeezing her face with a knife - I sized her up. I guess they tried to choose someone who sorta resembled Katie Holmes?
