Dwight needs to accept that Tyson Chandler role. Play defense and clean up the garbage. His value is on defense, not offense. He's never going to be a dominate offensive threat. You see what Kenneth Faried does? That's what Dwight needs to do. Use his athleticism and quickness to compensate for his lack of skills.

:what: you really tryna compare dwight too chandler and faried
he's way to good for that

The Dwight trolling is hilarious and all but Dwight is being held to a standard that no other center is touching. Shaq saying Dwight should be getting 28-15 is crazy, no one is getting that shyt. Plus Shaq had several inches and like 100 lbs on Dwight. It's not like Shaq had impeccable touch inside, he bricked chippies and missed free throws all the time just like Dwight does. There were plenty of bigs that had better fundamentals, Shaq was just able to steamroll everyone.

Shaq was actually very fundamentally sound though. He was a good passer out of the post, could find the open man when the double came, had a great drop step, great spin move, jump hooks, et cetera. Dwight has NONE of that, but could/should have at least something.

It's not really about Dwight's numbers though. It's about the fact the offensive fluidity is completely destroyed when he wants the ball.

I've said this for years: Why the fukk does he demand the ball in the paint when he can't do shyt with it!

Just fukk that dude. He's not going to develop an offensive game. He's not being held to an unreachable standard, he's being asked to develop an offensive game 1 step above Danny Fortson's.

Shaq admitted tonight that were bigs that had more moves then him. He said but he had a go to move and a countermove that he could go to and score everytime. He said Dwight doesn't have that

No doubt, and he was better fundamentally than Dwight is now. But Shaq at 6'10 260 or whatever Dwight is would not be getting anywhere near this imaginary 28-15 threshold that he is mandating.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

@Malta, nevermind Hakeem. Dwight needs to spend a summer with Al Jefferson and take notes, because that aspect of his game would make him the best player in the league. I don't think Dwight was ever interested in learning that aspect of the game because physically he was superior to everyone and he could always get fed easy buckets.

Forget the numnbers in the worst era of big men ever asking Dwight to dominate if hes a legit dominant big man is not unfair

I know what he means and all but he didnt have a move he could score with every time and he also had a size advantage over his opponents that Dwight doesn't have. I just don't really understand the reason for the Shaq/Dwight comparisons.

He doesn't have the offensive skills of guys like Al Jefferson or Marc Gasol and he doesn't have the brute size or force to overcome that. He's still one of the toughest centers in the league to handle offensively, not that its saying much.

That's fair and all but I guess my question is what's the point of shytting on him for all of the things he doesn't do when there really isn't a better option out there. People calling in to LA radio like "fukk him, I don't even care if he comes back" when there is no better alternative in the league and losing him would undoubtedly put them in a worse position than they're already in.

The guy is a much better defensive player than Shaq ever was. He's elite on that side of the ball. Hes not elite offensively, he's a work in progress that will probably never be finished but I don't know why that is such an indictment against him when there is no better center out there.
