Lakers are one steaming pile of entitlement, hubris, and thirst for power. Magic strolled in thinking he could just Magic his way around in a pretty intense and demanding position. Pelinka had his eyes set on Magic's spot from the jump and wasn't even willing to wait 3 years. Jeanie clearly doesn't know what the hell she is doing but like a true second generation rich kid assumes she does because he father did and doesn't care what "outsiders" think. All these other people (Rambises, Phil, that Harris guy) in addition to Rob know this and are just circling her ass like vultures trying to get their piece. And it all comes back to one thing...it's the Lakers. Jeanie thinks that just being the Lakers is enough (honestly it clearly was for Bron). Everybody else just wants a piece of what remains a legendary brand. And all that said they are still in excellent position going into next season

Usually in a story there’s a need for a good guy or at least some kind of protagonist to root for. But there aren’t any good guys in this shyt, everyone has dirt on their hands.

Also, Magic has a habit of favoring players who "remind him of himself".Lavar finessed Magic into picking his son then bushed him before he could trade him away
