A good album but the first time in history where Jay-z doesn't have his album in my top 5 hiphop albums of the year.
Even his by far weakest album BP3 was top 5 of 2009.

I still don't get how this album somehow lacks content as if any of his albums have ever been high on content. MCHG has about as much content as any other Jay album. The only areas where this album was lacking is Jay was lazy lyrically and even flow wise. With MCHG, the double entendres weren't as numerous and there's more weak lines. Flow wise, he borrows and uses flows from other rappers on several songs.
