Jay doesn't do average albums... they're either wack, classic, or great
He sounds inspired and focused on this one, but I'm not sure about the production. He's made classics with Timbo, Swizz, and Pharrell, but they have a history of making wack shyt together as well.
There's 3 major things that go into a successful Jay album: The right delivery, un-lazy songwriting, and top-notch production. Jay had good moments lyrically on BP3 but his delivery was
and the production was
for the better part of the album.
Just hope this time his delivery is more on track with "Open Letter" and less with "Suit & Tie"
But if you're following the pattern of Jay's albums (wack-great-wack-great, etc) this album lands on wack
(BP3 - wack, WTT - great) It remains to be seen until July 4th. Hov needs to reassert himself into the #1 GOAT MC talk.

You only release classic albums in your prime, that's how it works, no matter how good it is.
And I love that album. But that's neither here nor there
