Murder to Excellence is a dope song as well.

Same goes for Made in America but then again that song is dope mainly for Frank Ocean's hook :ehh:

I am a Big Jay fan, but does not do average albums? What the hell was Vol. 1 to 3 then?

In my opinion, Vol. 1 to 3 were great (3 and a half to 4 stars range). I've seen people on the board say the same as well.

Ya, I am not going to argue with that. I would go 3-4 stars average for the Life Time series, and that is more a grading on a RD scale..

Jay doesn't do average albums... they're either wack, classic, or great

He sounds inspired and focused on this one, but I'm not sure about the production. He's made classics with Timbo, Swizz, and Pharrell, but they have a history of making wack shyt together as well.

There's 3 major things that go into a successful Jay album: The right delivery, un-lazy songwriting, and top-notch production. Jay had good moments lyrically on BP3 but his delivery was :flabbynsick: and the production was :scusthov: for the better part of the album.

Just hope this time his delivery is more on track with "Open Letter" and less with "Suit & Tie"

But if you're following the pattern of Jay's albums (wack-great-wack-great, etc) this album lands on wack :lupe: (BP3 - wack, WTT - great) It remains to be seen until July 4th. Hov needs to reassert himself into the #1 GOAT MC talk.

:stopitslime: that shyt was weak

mchg is gonna be fire though, i can feel it.. been 4 years since his last solo album. he usually doesnt wait that long. and he's working with his type of producers. pharrell, timbo, ye, swizz. this could be jays last great album..

judging from the lyrics, i guess JayZ is hoping the production can carry the album :yeshrug:
