Not one of his best albums but, trash and crap? That's kinda harsh compared to some of the other shyt that has dropped.

We know Jay is graded on a higher curve than any other rappers. I thought it was a soild album, has a few bangers fukkwitmeyouknowIgotit, Tom Ford, Beach is Better..... got a few deeper songs Heaven, Oceans, Nickels and Dimes....

I understand wanting and expecting more from Jay but for a album that was put together rather quickly I didn't think it was that bad.... :manny:

All his shyt is trash/crap to these guys. This thread has been made plenty of times before, and will continue to be made with the same people (most are aliases) saying the same thing in them, until he releases a new album for them to say the same thing about over and over again. Like I said in another thread, it's just what they do.:manny:

first of all...didn't read.

2econd: anyone notice how late the source was with this album review (4 1/2 mics i believe, not that i care...worse tham complex :snoop:)????

Fnhird...ha. ha ha ha. album is a sleeper and will be new 'classic' after holiday season and official by '15. inaccurate comparison as well, sir. this album is more of a RD or Vol. 3. Hard Knock Life is actually, prototypically, a real street album with one jordan in the Pop genre's foyer. surely you jest, good man.the only comparison between the mention albums is their appreciation amongst younger head.

as stated on the title track of the senior work, "went from lukewarm to hot/sleepin' on futons and cots...", things done changed! the man now has a daughter, wife, career, public heterosexual life partner, wealth, celebrity, and everythin that comes with it. Sean is undoubtedly en vogue, whether you choose to be with the times or not.

'new' blue eyes has done it again. if not for you, then for the posterity in reference to the genre.

A good album, not a great one. I think Jay came a little lazy lyrically on the album. Out of his 12 solo albums, it definetly ranks in the bottom 6, maybe 9th. Still got it over BP2, KC and probably the Dynasty album.

It's just Jay being pretentious and superficial as always.

Reasonable Doubt was dope.Blueprint was hot.

Beyond those 2 albums, the rest of his catalog is flat IMO.

He had a lil hiccup with the Black Album, but that's not sufficient enough for a so called "God MC" "GOAT"
candidate who's been in the game as long as Jay has.

But he can always fall back on his half a billion/business man side.

He's the "Joe Johnson" of GOAT rap contenders. He's paid, but musically, he's nowhere near GOAT levels

After Pac & Big got knocked off, the shyt just sorta fell in his lap.His "rule" coincides with the weakest period in hip hop history.

His revisionist game is top notch, though.I remember watching that "Making of Reasonable Doubt" special they aired on MTV....you would've thought that shyt hit like Thriller in '96, when really, that shyt got lost in the shuffle.

In 5-10 years they'll probably air another special calling MCHG groundbreaking/unique/ most "artistic" album ever or some shyt
