IMO no QB in the history of the league could have won that game given the same performance from the offensive line. It was that bad.
So while the ring does go on Brady's resume I can't hold that loss against Mahomes. It would have taken a miracle to win that game. There is a reason Mahomes never gets blame for losing that game.
Unlike in basketball, head to head matchups rarely play a part in NFL player comparisons because for obvious reasons players at the same position are never on the field at the same time. Where in basketball if you play the same position it's extremely likely you are matched up on each other on both sides of the court.

Brady and Belichick twice went to the SB 4 times within 6 years (2001-2007, 2013-2019), winning 3 of them.
If Mahomes and Reid complete this 3 peat, this past 6 year run will be 5 SB appearances and 4 SB wins including the 3-peat. Even as a Pats fan, you can't deny that it will be more impressive.
I will say though that at least Brady had a foil in Peyton who he lost to in the playoffs. Mahomes doesn't have a 'Peyton' he needs to worry about. He's been running train on all these AFC QBs.

Mahomes is more talented but he’ll never match Brady resume. Similar to lebron vs MJ. LeBron is probably the more complete/talented player but he’ll never be able to match MJ career arc

If he gets another 2-3 titles which is very possible, he’s going to be nipping at Brady’s heels then too.
I’d argue to even say Brady didn’t have the year in and year out excellence Mahomes has had to this point. You almost have to play perfect game to beat a Patrick Mahomes led team in the playoffs.
I can remember there were years where the the Colts, Broncos, and Ravens were better than the Tom Brady led Pats teams and beat them in the playoffs.
I really hadn’t seen that with a Mahomes led team outside of the Super Bowl they lost to the Bucs and I don’t put that loss on him.
