I've said it in game threads before: Mahomes is the master of the late slide. He does it on purpose to draw penalties, the same way he pulls up on the sideline to take "late" hits. This time, he slides late AND SIDEWAYS INTO the defenders. And of course, he gets the flag.



And all it resulted in was starting at the 19 instead of the 25, had it been a touchback. A whole 6 yards. A completely perfunctory penalty

Quarterbacks that refuse to go down and bait defenders inti hits like that need to be penalized 15 yards
