Because he snitched on a known gang member on the rise in the commercial scene.never knew this. I don't see why Troy would get the deal that he got, if he had hurt someone. I know that he testified, but I didn't think that it was crucial enough to just get a year.

Snitching = committing a crime and telling on others to get yourself out of a jam. Troy shot into a crowd of people (crime) and got busted with additional guns during the police search (crime). He got time served for his crimes for his cooperation of testifying on Tax and putting him away.
He definitely snitched breh. No ifs, ands, or butts about it.
