The music maybe entirely different from the music of the 50's/60's/70's but it's definitely got it's own identity and ways to express emotion.

Classical Music has it's own industry.
Thousands of people create it, entire schools are devoted to it, not to mention the composers that have had their memory survive for hundreds of years purely off of the strength of their contributions to classical music ( or music in general) and it's various sub-genres on top of that there are millions of musicians which follow practice it regularly.

But that's besides the point I was saying there is still soul IN music and not people are still making soul music (though I'm certain there plenty of soul artists today, many of them not black which is an entirely different discussion altogether....)

Anyways yeah a lot of electronic music techniques or just electronic means of creating music has seeped into other genre's of music whether it's Classical or Rock or the music can be created entirely in a digital environment like Hip Hop or EDM but I still think there is plenty of soul to be found in these very different sounding genre's of music.

I mean Kendrick isn't exactly Marvin gaye when it comes to hitting notes but listening to GKMC I hear plenty of soul.
