As I write this, I’m packing my bags for Cologne, Germany. The reason? gamescom 2013.

This will be the first time we’ve showcased Xbox One en masse to a European audience. And it will be the first time Xbox One has shown up on a main stage since E3 in June. We all know that a lot has changed since then. So we’re looking bring the latest and greatest content, builds and stories to our friends in Europe. Phil Spencer and Phil Harrison will be everyone’s host for the week. And we have a ton in store for you:

Xbox Media Showcase
As Phil Spencer said last week, we’re hosting an small invite only media event on Tuesday, 20 August where we’ll share some news and give media a chance to experience gaming on Xbox One first hand. There is no live stream, but I’ll be posting the news here on my blog and on Twitter using #Xboxgamescom .
Keep an eye on Xbox Wire as well.

Xbox Booth (Hall 6)
Our gamescom booth is the largest we’ve ever had. The team has worked tirelessly to make sure every piece of available space is filled with the latest game content for you to play. And not only will there be hands-on, you will also have the chance to see how Kinect and SmartGlass really adds to the gaming on Xbox One.

Stop by our booth to check out “Forza Motorsport 5,” “Ryse: Son of Rome,” “Killer Instinct,” “Kinect Sports Rivals,” “Project Spark,” “Dead Rising 3,” to name a few, and we will also have the first-ever hands-on with “FIFA 14” on Xbox One– perfect timing as football leagues worldwide are just kicking off. And let’s not forget the Xbox 360 – we’ll also have the remake of “Fable,” “World of Tanks” and an awesome selection of partner titles – all to be revealed at the show.

And remember, gamescom will be your final chance to enter the Halo 4 Global Championship with an incredible $500,000 in prizes, including a grand prize of $200,000 cash. We will have a section dedicated to qualifications with a viewing area to catch all the action.

At the heart of the booth is our official Xbox Stage and the schedule that is bursting at the brim. For those attending we’ll advertise our agenda at the start of each day and it will contain some solid content and tons of swag. If you need a bigger incentive to drop by, we’ll be giving away Xbox Ones during the show – every hour, on the hour – but you must be present to win.

But as you can see, he's not nearly as accurate as you like to say he is. Michael Patcher was regarded as CBoat when the last gen started. Thats the name you guys would throw around as this "insider" and that has proven to be a joke
