A new WWE World Heavyweight champion will be crowned at the 6/29 Money in the Bank PPV in Boston, MA.
WWE sources indicate the decision was made late last week after Bryan was sent to Pittsburgh for additional tests when his physical therapy was not leading to him responding as quickly as originally expected.

PWInsider.com originally reported that there were some in WWE who didn't realistically expect Bryan back in action before Summerslam, but there was cautious optimism that he would be back by MITB, at least, and he was advertised for all of the July house shows in main events.

WWE will have quite a storyline gap to fill as Bryan has already stated, on television, that he would not hand the title over, since it would negate everything he accomplished from Summerslam 2013 through Wrestlemania and more importantly, everything the fans accomplished with their support. WWE now finds themselves in a position where they have to take the title from Bryan without damaging his character. As I wrote earlier, I expect this to be addressed in some capacity on Raw.

At least the world doesn't have to be subjected to the "Demon" Kane v. Bryan stretcher match

an 8 man MiTB ladder match for the title is much more interesting

They could just create a new title and then have Bryan v. that champ in a unification match when he's ready

They should absolutely put the title on Rollins tho

Reports are saying they already know the champ they will crown, I'm guessing Cesaro since they've been wanting to put the strap on him sooner than later

I doubt it... Cesaro was favorite for MiTB but can't picture them going with him as champ unless they have Brock and Heyman turn on him immediatly

I think Rollins as a new corporate champ is the way to go with Reigns and Bryan chasing him

If they really wanna make Reigns, they go with him vs Brock at Wrestlemania

This is so dumb. They could have just let him come out super pissed off and beat the shyt out of Kane with like a shovel - all offense (with taking no bumps) and put his big red fagat ass on a stretcher never to be seen again

Maybe he could just hit him with a shovel repeatedly - which could lead them to a Buried Alive match like they want and Kane can go make his incredibly shytty movie.

That would have bought them another month and furthered the feud.

That would be a huge mistake right now, Cesaro isn't ready to carry the strap character-wise just yet. It's probably going to be Kane There's literally no one else that's been built up as a potential title holder besides Cena...the Shield and Evolution are in a different orbit and everyone else...literally everyone else on the roster is midcard or below
