It took me awhile to really appreciate 7DT.

1996 was around the time I started driving :flabbynsick:, so AEOM was like the best album ever. It was made for the trunk.

Then I started appreciating the dark vibe, and lyricism, of 7DT more. It was a brilliant album, although still behind MATW for me.

I always laugh when nikkas say the Outlawz were wack. They're the only weed carriers that got multiple classic verses on classics.

As far as the song :whew: you can hear the anger in his voice on here and over the full album..AEOM was a lot more lighthearted. I'm guessing a lot of the shyt from the East Coast directed at him came after he recorded AEOM? Pacs flow on here was crazy too he was constantly getting better. :mjcry:

Also the way this fades into Hail Mary>>>>>>

Only people who don't know shyt could say such falsehoods about the Outlawz they was nice :myman:

Napoleon's verse on "Tradin' War Stories" :whew:

My whole family been raised, on shyt that ain't okay
Ain't nothing on this earth will make a nikka like me stay
I'm reminiscing, and catchin' flashbacks when nikkas ran up
In my house and I was too young, to try to blast back

What happend then? No one would tell me since I was three
Heard that God took my peoples, now they living somewhere free

But fukk that, you got whats mines and I want that
Never drop my guard, been on the squad, since ways back
And now I'm sitting, holding in anger because my parents missing
Thugging Immortal when got some war stories for you

I always wondered why he called Nas the "Ring Leader".

I mean all the other disses make perfect sense, even calling him a Rakim clone. But Nas didn't have Pac set up at Quad studios. Nas wasn't signed to Bad Boy. Nas didn't have affiliation with Hatian Jack. Hell all Nas did was throw that "black pirellis rolling over this Makevelli" sub on Clue tapes and the misunderstanding surrounding the "Fake Thug No Love" line on the Message.

That's hardly "ring leader" status

I could be wrong but I always thought it was in reference to Nas claiming to be King of New York ("there's one life, one love, so there could only be one king"). The line by one of the Outlawz later in the song kind of confirms it I think ("King of New York, are you the motherfukkin one???)
