The managers have always been making more than the "crew members".
My coworkers husband pulls in a Lil over 90 a year. He's a store manager for Village Inn.
He basically works 5am to 5pm 6 days a week. So he gets overtime and when his stores perform well which they always do he gets bonuses. He will usually be at a store for a few years, it'll start doing really well, acing inspections, sales through the roof, he'll do things like hire contractors to fix the parking lots, make sure the upkeep of the building outside and in are A+ then they'll move him to a worse location and let him fix it up.
It's pretty wild how competitive that shyt is. IHOP was recruiting him to be a regional manager for like 7 stores and a base salary of $110 but after they spoke for a while he was pretty sure he couldn't do what he was doing at VI for IHOP, just overall different tasks and duties.
