ok, thought you was speaking on during that time period...no love for OJ???
Oh yeah, of course. Just think it's a lot closer between Bush and OJ than it is versus Allen. Allen was a workhorse for real - almost 2700 yards from scrimmage his senior year :wow:

95% of that video is him running. He's basically a running back that threw the ball 9 times a game for his college career. That's some Georgia Tech type shyt right there.

Cam Newton >> Vick and it's really not even close to be honest. I'm not saying that he wasn't a great player, only that for the sake of this topic (picking the best player at each position), there were many better QBs than Vick.

I didn;t really see this thread as selecting the best player ever in the history of CFB at each position, and I also think you are underestimating Vick in 98/99 and how he changed the game and was something nobody knew what they were seeing - its easy to compare him to someone 15 years later when the offenses and game has changed.

Also, Vick took a team nobody knew anything about to the national championship at 19 year old redshirt freshman...And dominated the game at that. If you are putting together a DYNAMIC COLLEGE TEAM, you're gonna be hard pressed to beat a team of aweome players with Michael Vick, hands down.

It's the same argument for Reggie Bush - nobody is saying he is better than Barry or Bo, but you put any defense in history up with top notch talent against top notch talent, and a Reggie Bush is going to get OFF on that field. I think greatest ever at a position and pick a unbeatable team are two different things.

I said he was a great player. Saying anything more than that is overrating him. Saying he "changed the game" is greatly overrating him. I'd like for you to break that down for me if possible.

Regarding his best season ('99), that VTech team really didn't play anyone at all until the final game where he was pretty much kept in check. Cam DOMINATED the game and did it in a much tougher conference. The kid ran for over 1,400 yards and threw for almost 3,000 :scusthov: You take the highlights, I'll take the better player.

I won't even bother with cats like Tommy Frazier and Vince Young who were also more dominant in college.

The H
I think RB is the easiest. No one in college has ever come close to what Barry Sanders did.
I dont think its that easy. Pretty bummed All Day didnt play the one game I saw OU play his freshman year.

The 80s alone is stacked. No one has even mentioned Eric dikkerson.

Why not? No one would debate that Jerry Rice is the best WR of all-time in the NFL. His stats alone prove it. Why would anyone argue about Sanders? These other guys were all-time greats no doubt, but he separated himself.
