Shout out to the scammers though. Finesse Gods. I wonder how many people they got with that.

This scam gets run in all kinds of different forms. I like the version from I think it was Zombieland. Pretend like you lost a diamond ring and offer a reward. Someone claims to find it, you get greedy and off them a smaller share of the reward, they walk with your money. You're left with a fake diamond ring and fake number.

The 2 people are working together. The first person pretends they dropped an expensive ring around some business (it was a gas station in the movie). The first person offers a reward to the business owner. Then, they leave a contact number and leave the business. Their partner shows up later and pretends to find the expensive ring (it's really cheap jewelry). The business owner sees this and runs out and offers the person a share of the reward. So, the business owner either makes a deal with the 2nd partner or cheats them on their share of the reward (that the 2nd partner allegedly doesn't really know about). They then "buy off" the 2nd person by giving them some share of the reward money. The 2nd person then leaves. The business owner tries to contact the 1st partner, but that guy would have left a fake number. So, teh business owner loses his buy-off money and is left with a fake ring.

Too many unknown variables.

You're better off doing something like this

Your dreams
Two guys claimed to have picked up a loaded wallet near me. I didnt even hrar them throw it they just said look.look and of course I looked down. They said lets go somewhere and split it. I said you two split it and walked away quickly.

Whilst in high school a guy offered me a job packing jeans for like $20 (US) an hour. I told him no and he kept insisting. I diverted my route and was going toward a police station. I was like ok fine either we go sign a quick contract and get the police to notarise it or you get the hell away from me.

Another tried to sell me gold. He had somehow got his hands on some pure gold chains and wanted to sell them to me. Lol.

Another I cant remember what kind of snake legs he was selling but i had to cause a scene to get him to stop pestering me. He was very insitent to the point of being scary.

Lots of other foolish scams.

I think amyone can fall for this shyt if they catch you on the right day and you are not as vigilant as always.

I'm a coward so i won't stop to talk to some stranger who calims to have a once in a lifetime deal.
