I dont understand this train of thought, I feel you if you're not into that 365, but if your chick wants to switch it up or be hassle free and waterproof on a vacay, what's wrong with occasional braids or weaves?

I don't rock with braids or weaves under any circumstance, it's a crutch and a sign of insecurity as far as I'm concerned. I don't want to have to plan a trip around whether or not my chick can go into the water or she can't go out cause it's too humid :Nopostmoves:

aesthetically, i love braids. i kinda take offense to people saying its an insecurity issue because... that's my culture. i'm african and we pretty much created braids, how is me expressing my culture a sign of self-hatred or insecurity? but its 2013 and people are ignorant so .

i agree that they put way to much stress on your scalp though, plus i just can't sit for 50-11 hours the way that i used to, so i don't get them anymore. i'm very low maintenance and walk around in an afro most of the time these days. i love those braids though. i think they're beautiful.

I wouldn't need to breakup, my girl has never wore a weave or had braids.

Like I said, I loved a chick that had braids in the past, but I won't be traveling down that road again. :Nah:

Why? I like wearing braids because I think they look nice, my natural hair never lasts in braids but when I do it with weave the style stays longer. I have no problem with my natural hair.
