Looked like he shot her right as she was ready to stab the girl in pink. She should have been restrained right when she was on the ground with the other girl when cops first got there.

Or if that was her dad who kicked chick in the head, he should have gotten control of his daughter at that point as well. Its a chaotic scene and when you call the cops on black folk someone probably gonna get shot.

The way folks on twitter talked about this case led me to believe that Makiah was literally standing alone with a knife in her hand but the bodycam footage shows that she was going to stab someone. I'm sorry she lost her life but I can't be too outraged at the police's actions in this circumstance.

#1 The adults that were present could’ve done a way better job of defusing that situation before law enforcement was even involved.

#2 Don’t go around poking people up on a stabbing sprees, especially IN FRONT on the police. The fukk were they supposed to do? That’s preservation of life against deadly force.

Where I am from the neighborhood would have taken care of its own and dissolved that situation. When you got kids out there fighting its the adults responsibility to dead that ish. What that girl needed was someone to get her our of that temporary rage and chill.
