Father completely failed that entire situation.

If that truly is the dad how the fukk are you going to let someone "jump" your daughter.
The daughter should have felt safe enough to not have a knife cause her father was there.
The father should have been smart enough to take that shyt out of her hands when the cops arrived.
The father should have been brave enough to grab his daughter while she's running with a knife instead of kicking a girl on the ground.
That shyt could/should have been handled before the cops even got there.

With that said, the police need to be trained to deescalate and subdue without using lethal force.

Stop shooting people center mass.

Try firing a warning shot.

Carry non lethal weapons.

no disrespect breh but real life ain’t like the movies, even shooting center mass you are still more likely to miss than hit in high stress situations. It’s not really possible to shoot for the arm or leg. Also warning shots have to go somewhere, bullets don’t just disappear.
