You gaht damn right. I'm pretty sure there a ton of white boys my age with more money/success than me and I ain't making what's in the tweet but damn it feels good.
Basically the bottom is the percentile for wealth in your early 30s and the number on the graph is your projected wealth percentile in your 50s. Its basically showing that black Americans have a difficulty both building wealth and maintaining that wealth compared to white Americans.maybe I'm retarded, but I cannot follow the graph :ohh:
Haven’t read the article but I’m guessing her point has something to do with white people having access to wealth via their family, parents, etc… and most black people don’t come from that
Either way if you can’t figure out how to make 125K work for you, you probably have poor spending habits and need to reevaluate your finances
I understand what you're getting at, but that's more of a choice than a requirement. And I say that as someone who just had to drop money on a family member twice. It's more complicated than that though.
A lot of black people have to spend a lot of their money supporting their parents and other family members, and also have more loans to pay off. Meanwhile white people are much more likely to inherit wealth from their parents instead. Sure, there's no real excuse not to be able to live off 125k but that's not the same as building wealth.
