Making 6 figures as a white person and making 6 figures as a Black person isn’t the same.

You just now figuring this out?

:gucci:

Y'all nikkas grew up in bubbles the way y'all be in your 30s+ just “figuring” shyt out that's been well known and established as an issue and hurdle for a Black person.

I'm 26yrs old and feel like I'm a step ahead than most on this site in terms of being philosophically aware of the realities being of Black.
Did you read any posts in the thread that suggests anyone is just now figuring this out, dude just posted a tweet :heh:

black people that are high income come from the same middle class backgrounds. Outside of famous people.

Haven’t read the article but I’m guessing her point has something to do with white people having access to wealth via their family, parents, etc… and most black people don’t come from that

Either way if you can’t figure out how to make 125K work for you, you probably have poor spending habits and need to reevaluate your blah blah blah
You must live in super flyover country because it is well documented that thousands of Silicon Valley tech workers making low six figures are homeless living out of their cars.

If you making low six figs, chances are you have student loan debt. And places that pay six figures like its nothing are expensive ass areas like NYC, DC and the Bay.

And cacs are making mid six figs in NYC like its nothing doing the minimal amount if work.

Low six figs is what 45k a year was in the 90's. Y'all talk about low six figs like its financial independence or some shyt. When making that income range just signs you up for more credit and indentured servitude. Rappers ain't talk about six figs aspirationally since like 96'. But browsing the Coli you would think it was a rapper lifestyle.

Low six figs ain't hard to make if you willing to slave 60-70+ hours a week. UPS drivers make that much. Used car salesmen too. Even door to door salesmen who push hard enough make that much selling roofs and shyt to old ladies. And that's without a degree or a cert.

But not everyone want to skip out on watching their kids grow up or not have a life. Cacs making low six figs in their sleep doing fake jobs made up for white people and still got help from rich parents and relatives.

I'm more impressed with brehs thinking outside the box. Like breh who made 300k a year off vending machines. You'll never get rich working for somebody else.

Yeah it’s not to same. Because of various reasons

If you make 125 but your parents paid for your college , bought you a car and etc your ahead of the curve

125 as a black person your probably having to clear debt buy your own first car , you probably the one helping out family members .

When you look at these nba players that go broke they take care of like 20 people
I know ALOT of yt folks that had this formula, and some of them were total fck ups and still managed to get ahead in life, I ain't pocket watching though I just know what the real is when they online pushing a false narrative when they parents bankrolled their life so they already up. I stay on my grind though, I'm gon make it.

They should have just said being black in america is not like being white in america
cause i'm not sure what income has to do with the situations they bring up. it's almost like the article is meant to rain on successful black people's parade or something
everybody is going to have their own individual circumstances and spending habits, and regardless more black people earning 6 figures is a start to creating the generational wealth we lack

People aren't paying attention what's happening to the dollar. If you just let that money sit, in 20 years it's probably going to be worth half of what it is now, at best. Even investing it in stocks and bonds, most folks will probably lose some of the value it had when they initially got it. The U.S. economy has been in slow collapse mode and speeding up for decades.

The economy has not been in collapse mode. The average entry level worker has been in collapse mode.

Two different things.

Just because it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it's not been in the process. You get another inflation situation like after the pandemic, and you will see the holes more clearly.
