Making basic cocktails

Hey, so I'm gonna be working as a Server at a private party in someone's home in a few days, but they said I should have a basic knowledge of making drinks in case the bartender gets backed up.

What are some basic drinks I'd probably be asked to make and how can I make them? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
