:blessed:

I don't think I ever NOT listened to this album from track 1 to the last track...I mean, I never put my CD in and skipped to track ___. I never put it in at track 1 and turned it off before the last track...(maybe if I had to leave the house or something) but other than that...Full CD play from 1995 til 2013. :wow:

Down '71 the getaway....one of the best songs I ever listened to

Bizzy and layzie verses:damn:
Bizzy blacked out though

I'm bailin while they trailin
Better in hell than in a cell
it ain't no tellin where the coppers be dwellin
One... had spotted me, pick up uh piece and shot at me...
But I practice what I preach
And see that these slugs up in his body, got him
Run...wit smoke comin from the barrel uh me gun:blessed:

Edit: krazy kilt that shyt too, but bizzy and lazy burnt it

Can you imagine if they had video for Down 71!? I always wanted one in the form of a mini movie... It's still not too late

The Forest Where Hope Died
I remember the morning that First of the month came out on the box..people kept ordering it and I kept watching it..I was going camping with my friends that day and when they came to pick me up at my moms crib I showed them that video and we were all blown away..I couldn't wait to get back to the house after camping so that I could watch the video again..and again and again.:ohlawd:

...it was on the box before it was on the radio..

That mufukka U-Neek needs to invest in some lights or some shyt. If it's that dark in the crib, atleast go outside.

And that may be one of the worst "Making of..." videos I've ever seen. No input from any of the members. U-Neek didn't even drop any insight. All he did was run some old, raw footage, and cut it up. lol, he coulda knocked on some doors in his neighborhood probably found someone that coulda did a better job "editing" that shyt.

Still one of my favorite albums EVER though. The first time I heard "1st of Tha Month" on the radio = :ohlawd:

The album almost DEMANDS to be played front to back. No skips. Everything just flows together beautifully. Definitely one of Hip-Hop's Masterpieces.

i still dont understand how they have the same style, how did that work out?

There are differences, Bizzy always harmonized with himself more than the other members, he would double up his vocals. He was the most melodic.

Having said that, Krazie was the most sing songy of the group, like at any time he could just stop flowing and start singing the lyrics and no one would tell the difference.

Layzie was more technical than any of them and you could decipher his verses the best.

I was never a fan of Wish, and Flesh wasn't in the group enough, but he had a soulful style.
