Wtf?I actually went to the ER with a nasty bite, and the doctors suspected snake bite, and I had 3 senior doctors and several nurses crowded round, while they discussed what to do. This was in the UK though, turned out not to be, once they got a south african doctor from somewhere in the hospital who had seen loads of snake bites.
I didn't have to pay a penny,was put on a drip for antibiotics in the end accept for an outpatient prescription for some antibiotics and painkillers and if I had been unemployed I would have paid nothing. Our health service isn't perfect ,it is getting worse thanks to the decision to allow uncontrolled immigration for years,plus due to politicians meddling, and you have to pay for it through taxes, but still the idea of not going to a hospital when your leg has swollen up like a balloon,the are round the bite had gone dark red and you feel like you have the chills, (as I did) ,seems completely alien.
