I don't like that either. That's those moisturizing soaps that leave residue on your skin. Some dove soaps do that, i think. I only use the unscented dove, the unscented dove doesn't do that. I've never felt caress do that either. I always use the peach kind because it has the least perfume.

True. I don't get that dry you out soap like ax but sometimes it's the only thing that can get that tough dirt off like grease/oil lubricants for metals, and the smell. I like lavender soap... I think the water itself can be a reason why people get dryed out. Hard water has alot of minerals in it.

I can't use most soap anymore. It dries the shyt outta my skin. I use this soap called every man jack. It's naturally derived. I just finished with the dr bonners peppermint soap. That was some good stuff and the bottle lasts a long time.

Ya'll nikkas need to get up on that black soap.

:dame:

:lupe: What are they like? They're not like those lotion soap are they?

Drying bar soaps are good since they leave your skin sticky clean making it easy to rub dead skin off the body. Have to moisturize after of course

Yeah I prefer the soap they leaves you dry. I don't mind looking like ashy Larry out the shower, I have a habit of putting lotion on right after anyway.

I've tried bronners and it did the same thing as the male soaps when I used it. My vag was on fiyah!

If dudu is black soap, absolutly not.

Some type of lotion, oil, or shea butter is a must for afterwards. Aside from my bronners soap, if it isn't from Africa or by Africans I can't mess with it. Far as I've seen, we're the only ones that really produce stuff specifically for our skin and hair.

I only use Ivory, & it strips every ounce of dirt from my skin. I don't mess with the scented soaps period, i already have sensitive skin so have to watch what I use. The Dudu soap works wonders but leaves the tub filthy. It smells good too. Wouldn't mind that smell on my guy fresh out the shower or fresh out the tub:jawalrus:

I don't ever have ashy or dry skin after I shower. Does not matter what soap kind (bar or body wash) or brand. I rarely lotion my whole body and just stick to the face, neck, knees, elbows, ankles and hands. Never realized how big an issue this is for people.
