At this point it is too early to judge, he is a third round pick and a rookie, not often are rookie qbs very good in the nfl

You really want to use that as an excuse when we've seen QBs off the street and lower round QBs put up better performances than what we saw yesterday?
Huh? My post was nothing about his play. Just calling out how ridiculous it is to call him a bust after his first game while he was a third-round pick that everyone knew and understood was raw and needed time to develop.

That’s because they stopped having him throw the ball as the game went on. He would have lost him that game otherwise.

Trying to look on the bright side. Nothing I saw said he's ready to play substantial snaps right now. He looked overwhelmed at times and it's clear that going through progressions is not a strength of his game yet. However, they did win and he's definitely far from a finished product. He has room to grow.

Some posters got fooled by his preseason performances and were wanting him to take Tannehill's job this season when he's at least a 1-2 years away from doing that.

Again where in my comment did I say he was a bust? Dude looked lost and completely lost out there, but no where in my mind did I even think of the word bust. Posters on this site stay trying to create narrative to fit their arguing points.

Like I said, if dude balled out yesterday, then you would have had posters clamoring for him to get the starting QB job. So keep that same consistency now and once I’m not even mentioning the word bust, so stop using it as your arguing point.

The thread is about him being a bust. The posts you quoted were about him being a bust. You came in to dispute with them, therefore you must agree with him being a bust. Otherwise, you would not be here making these posts.

More like Mike Vrabel belongs on first team all fraud

And yet we running the AFC South + consistently making the playoffs, all in the midst of being like top 5 in injuries for the past 2-3 years. Yeah....fraud. Sure :mjlol:

It was disappointing to see they ain’t even try to let him stretch his legs a bit with the game plan but you can’t argue with 30 carrries for 200 some odd yards and 2 TDs

Just keep handing it off until they stop it

I don't know how you watch that game and are able to judge anything from it. Didn't he only have like 2-3 throws in the entire second half? They were just riding Derrick Henry, which is what they should be doing in the first place regardless of who is taking the snaps under center.
