There is a wrong way and right way to do it. Just creating a new ghetto in the middle of another community solves nothing.
The problem is the concentration of lower income housing. putting them all in one area is the issue
The correct way is to dilute the lower income housing and disperse them in small numbers amongst a community.
Meaning a duplex here in this part of town, another duplex there in that part of town ext ext. two lower incomes families living in a higher income neighborhood isn't going to lead to increased crime in that area.
constructing a 500 unit lower income highrise in that higher income area can though.
you need to sprinkle it in amongst everything not concentrate it in one area

She tells me that in some of the section 8 homes, a nosy cac neighbor would do something like install a ring camera and submit to the city how much traffic the home is getting. Basically insinuating that said person is selling drugs out the house.

I say that to say, that person may or may not of been selling drugs, but just them living there alone already has cacs finding ways to get them outta there. And this is just one house. Not even a whole duplex or something and they still tryna make them move out

Thats what I get when im at neighborhood meetings. You'd have section 8 renters move into a neighborhood of people who work or who are seniors and stay inside. They say that the section 8 neighbors always have people in and out the house. And its not that the neighbors are nosey, its just that the new neighbors have the only house with all day traffic in and out. Then eventually, the house get shot up. Happens quite often..

Section 8 is guaranteed money. So the person who's renting the home don't give a shyt who moves in, as long as that check drops every month.
