I'm guessing she also told him to stay inside and he ignored her and was outside playing.

When I was 8 and my moms was working overnight so I would be home by myself & my younger sister, she taught me how to cook so by that age I was cooking rice chicken , mac & cheese etc for me & my sister with no difficulty . Neighbor wildin for calling the boys though , the situation could have been handled different without police interference . Now that boy gonna be lost in the foster / group home system and could most likely be a statistic . Nice going ...
