Gosh....that's an interesting standard you have presented
if in your eyes, "a bad day at the office", fits a reasonable equivalence to having two of your children killed in front of you and going postal, decidedly a term used to describe, an act of untimely and indiscriminate rage and mass violence/murder, as also equivalent to killing the one man, you just watched kill your two children and stopping there, then by all means: feel free to "go postal" when you have "a bad day at the office":yeshrug:, society will have to weigh your "reasoning" on the scales of justice:notbadsas:, just like they weighed the man in the OP story, your lawyers will have to make a case to a jury of your peers as to why "not being able to find your stapler, justified you gunning down all those people" good luck:yeshrug:. You would have company, someone once went "postal" because his dog told him to, and they got judged too, so...:yeshrug:

That's not what juries are for or are meant to decide.

Horrible story all around.

- Car ran out of gas so dad and two sons push it down the street (they were close to home)
- Drunk driver plowed into them killing his two young kids
- "Allegedly" the dad ran to his house, grabbed a gun, and killed the drunk driver
- Texas court acquitted him on murder charges

I'm still up in the air about this. Its a terrible thing to have your kids die in front of you never mind to a drunk driver. I can't say I blame him. Theres a good chance I would do the same thing he did.

On the other side, is vigilante justice. He took the law into his own hands and most likely did shoot and kill that driver. I know its Texas and they do things differently down there, but I don't know if I can get on board with that. He should have let these dudes rot in a prison cell for 20+.

support murder, brehs

some of you guys would be right at home in tribal Pakistan and Afghanistan
This is a common symptom of the American mindset towards crime and punishment. These guys have synonymized revenge and justice.

Do I understand this guy killing that man? Absolutely. I can't say that I wouldn't in his situation. Is it wrong? Should he be convicted, absolutely.
