Not even that. You need a baseline EKG because it can prolong qt and if you keep prolonging they can go into a arrhythmia

You must be in the medical field :salute:

At least one poster I can talk to :salute:

I'm not Trump fan, but come on? Even if Trump had been right and chloroquine was an 100% cure they still would've died. Who told them 1tsp was the right amount? Do they not have any thinking ability at all? Who in their right mind makes their own medicine because they have something with a similar name lying around?

Because words have consequences. Chlorquine is now on back order on Amazon. He doesn't think about what he says because he just wants a quick result. That's why Dr. Fauci keeps correcting him. Because you just can't say that we have this thing that's a miracle. Because people are idiots.

People who actually use it for lupus and other diseases can’t get their rx because idiot dr are prescribing it for their family members. Even saw a dentist prescribed it for someone. A fukking dentist who has 1% medical knowledge

And even prescribed, you have to follow the doctors instructions to the letter. This is something that is typically taken weekly. And even prescribed it still has all types of side effects. Especially if someone has underlying conditions. This isn't something that people should be putting in their bodies nonchalantly. But the Trump wants to irresponsibly say to the nation, fukk the FDA, this shyt is a miracle.

Ultimately it's their fault for taking the pills, but this also re-enforces that a President's words matter, and misinformation from the highest office in the land is extremely dangerous.

Quick backstory:

Nigeria records chloroquine poisoning after Trump endorses it for coronavirus treatment - CNN

Here's a Doctor issuing a warning:

Trump doubling down:

Then this happens:

This man is literally spewing deadly misinformation as fact on Twitter and leading people to death. And they said Hillary would've been worse than Trump

They're stupid for sure but it's still Trump's fault for putting it out there on Twitter. People react stupidly when in panic mode. The pandemic is showing us that. That doesn't mean the president isn't wrong for tweeting some dumb unproven medical shyt as fact knowing most of the world can see it and be influenced by it. He needs to be held responsible more than the people who listened to him

The wife of a man who died in Arizona (who is now in ICU herself) said she and her husband heard Trump tout a drug that would be effective against the Chinese virus on television. They thought they saw it on top of their refrigerator at home and decided to take a tablespoon of it, mix it into a soda, and drink the concoction. As a result, the husband is gone and the wife is in ICU.

Mainstream media personalities, websites, and more are trying to blame Trump for this. They say he is giving medical advice while not being a doctor. But the problem is that the drug they took is not even the drug that Trump (accurately) said had been effective against the virus. Trump mentioned hydroxychloroquine. He did not mention what they took , which is actually fish tank cleaner called chloroquine phosphate.
