Nah bruh. Its just the overall vibe of this place. Its like a 90s-early2000s backpacker haven. You may not notice it cause you are old. But im a fairly young guy.

On the 1st page itself, there is only one thread bout a new guy like Isaiah Rashad.

Yet there is threads bout RZA,Alchemist,Mannie Fresh,Jay-z,Eminem,50 cent and Yayo which all did numbers in 2014

Places like Complex and other websites are more focused on the current music scene. The Booth only really care about the past, and new ways of calling the music industry evil and manipulative lol

and like i said, people do make threads trying to put people on to new stuff. i do so regularly, but those threads always flop. you never see them on the 1st page because nobody replies and they immediately sink to page 12. but when i do threads about older stuff, it does numbers.

why? i think the classic rap threads serve as a common ground for everybody. i stay bumpin new chit, but theres only a handful of current stuff that i listen to that i could get a good convo going on here about. and usually all the topics concerning them have already been run into the ground.......as opposed to older chit, where the possibilities are endless. see, youre right, im too old to be in threads comparing corny rap niccas like kendrick, j.cole & drake. and its not cuz im . lets be real, those rappers are in my age group. if im old, then so are they. the thing is, im old enough to know that those dudes is trash. i went to high school the same time as them. they wouldve got slaughtered by the weakest rappers in the cafeteria. but let the media tell it, these dudes are top flight lyricists and the new kings of rap.

boards like the coli are a reflection of the sad state of hip-hop. i'd expect the mods to do their job and keep all the kardashian threads outta here.
