Len Bias and Hank Gathers I wonder about. Gathers because it wasn't clear how his game would translate. Now we'll never know, although his boy Bo Kimble was straight trash in the league.

Replace Reggie's name with Len Bias, and we re talking about a once in lifetime type of player, top 10 all time great potential.
Reggie was a good player, hovered right around 19 ppg. He is remembered in Boston amongst Celtics fans, and he is remembered as being just about as good as he was, maybe remembered as being a little better than he actually was. (we all know it happens)
I still remember the collapse, the day he died, all of that.

Yep he was pretty much as good as he was gonna be. Solid scorer, good defender. Third best player on a contender type.

That was a crazy summer for the NBA. Lost Drazen Petrovic, Reggie, and MJ pops. shyt was way too real for 11 year old me.
