Man, as a first generation Nigerian/WEst India American, I ain't gonna lie, I've always felt a weird lack of connection with AA women. Just as a cultural barrier and a difference with the way me and most AAs grew up. I dont' like talking about it cause it stressed me out fo ryears and still does. Even my sisters say dthat due to it it's been really difficult dating and getting into relationships cause my family doesn't really want us dating marrying other than nigerian/west indian.

It hurts me in the dating game.

Most of my family in america are second generation West Indians. I'm 32, and its sad, all of my cousins and sibling in America who are either married or had kids, all are from non blacks. My brother settled down with a el salvadorian, and two female cousins both married a white dude. The rest of them are either still single. Non of them settled down with some one black. Meanwhile all of my family in Barbados, married black people because the country is 100% black.
