That album holds up the best from the mid 90s NY era rap. I play that and reasonabledoubt the most. So while illmatic, ready to die and Cuban linx are held in higher esteem, Infamous and RD are more enjoyable.
Great album but a pandering thread, did you just hear it or some shyt? Lol. Considering you heard Illmatic 9 years later...
I thought this was dope when I was about 14-15 and just really starting to go back and listen to older music, 10 years later I think it might be the goat rap album.

I always felt Illmatic and The Infamous were two sides of the same coin. Illmatic was the street kid talking about stuff that he's seen, and The Infamous was the grimey killer talking about the work he put in.
