My brother ALWAYS says this and I believe it in a superstitious sort of way. I mean from the jump dudes seem faster/slower, skilled/clumsy or your CPU teammates get dumber/smarter.
When you're going to win you just feel like you can do anything and it works, When you're picked to lose, watch the fukk out, you;ll be yelling and shaking trying to run pick and rolls or shoot free throws.

Online is a mess and has been for a while. The fake momentum swings make me wanna smash my controller every time. If someone goes in a swing of their own cool, but the game shouldn't be programmed that way. shyt's sickening actually.

These nikkas sound crazy in this thread. Aint no "momentum swings" and all that shyt created by the game. I been playing 2k for 15 years and there's never been as many flaws online as what ppl tell themselves to feel better. Like you said, if somebody is killing you one way then switch it up
2k usually builds a decent game every time they release. They're also forced to account for people who play the game like a damned idiot. That so happens to be a large percentage of the community. The game really isn't ready to be a competitive on-line game yet.
Still some kinks they need to iron out. I shouldn't have to half-court press all game to make the computer AI recognize a transition fast-break is happening. This makes people who play "sim" feel like dumbasses for doing so because you're usually not rewarded.
The game could use an in-depth tutorial mode showing us what works and what doesn't. We have to figure out how to do key things on the fly. Most people don't know the right stick on defense is a bump mechanic. If you don't utilize this bump mechanic a lot of times you will get scored on or called for the foul. That's another thing 2k has to safe guard so much they have to take control of the player and make him do things. There has been times where I know I had control of a player and a dude was pump faking and they made my player jump.
My biggest gripe is sometimes it feels like bad players hang around all game score wise. You end up only winning by less than 10 pts when it should have easily been a 15-20 pt victory.

This right here, it may be more of a rubber-banding AI ala Mario Kart. I can deal with changing strategies and players getting hot and cold; I CANNOT deal with losing control of my player or AIs drifting away from shooters to help out when there is no one driving or something like that.
Any one whit thinks this game doesn't have momentum swing online is delusional. Nothing about switching up, changing offense, etc.

Sometimes it's just nothing u can do, the computer has already decided who was gonna win before the game started
-Missed rebounds where your whole team is under the basket yet the one player from the opposing team somehow gets to the ball
-Phantom calls/pump fake and ones under the basket when u didn't even jump to contest the shot
-Open shots not falling which leads to the other team fastbreaking up the court before your team can get back, or you miss a wide open shot just to have your opponent hit a contested 3 on the next possession
-Ball being stripped from u because an opposing player ran near you while u were dribbling
When your on the opposite side of this the game can make you feel
because u know how frustrated your opponent is getting about the bullshyt that's happening....which at times can cheapen the win because you know the computer is on your side. I've never noticed it as much as I have this year.

Was up 20 with golden state with 3 minutes left in the third. I got outscored 29-12 in the fourth steph curry missed damn near every shot. I was so pissed.
