My job is forcing us to provide our vaccine status so they can force us back into the office.

My job is 46 miles away and working from home has been a God send. Smh. We were supposed to go back at the beginning of next yr like around Feb-March and then this "federal mandate from Biden" pops up like 2 weeks ago. And they're going to use that to demand ppl back to the office. WTF

Going back to the office is a sign of things returning to normal. This means Biden is doing his job.

I hear where you're coming from OP, but I don't think y'all WFH folks should be boasting that y'all remote.

If employers can have y'all remote and everything runs almost as it did pre pandemic, who's to say they don't eventually outsource your jobs to another country? Why pay ppl in America $50k+, when I can pay Patel 1/2 that? I don't agree w/ outsourcing, but I see WFH eventually leading to that.

My job is actually pretty cool because they are trying to do the opposite. They are discussing trying to find loopholes in the mandate so they can make WFH completely optional going forward. I heard it's because they want to avoid dealing with the anti-mask/anti-vacc employees. We have an anonymous intranet forum where employees can submit thoughts/questions/concerns, and apparently a large amount of employees have made it clear that if they have to come back in because of the mandate, that they will quit and find work elsewhere.
