A private business that’s has contracts with government forcing people back into the office to work has dikk all to do with the federal government unless its mandated by those government contracts that employees have to work at office due to the material being sensitive and classified.
So unless it’s in the contract with the government I’ll ask again wtf does you having to work from an office have anything to do with anyone but your employer? You can choose to enter into negotiations with your job to WFH or leave.
You can be plenty educated and still be ignorant on shyt. No one knows everything not even the smartest man in the world

Many people are able to do their job from home just as well as on the jobsite. 
Businesses know that, but want the control they had before hence all these required mandates. Its all designed to go back to some of the conformity that was there to begin with. It makes no other sense than that if you can do the job from your own home, which should provide a pretty big cost savings to the company right?
This is happening in many job sectors. Thankfully, mine supports me staying home.
If you learned you could do that, its allows a much more flexible lifestyle that allows you to take more time for YOURSELF. I am not knocking this OP at all I understand the conflict.
