Kinda blew me when I looked that sista up after those commercials first started blowing up. If I remember correctly she’s a TV and stage actress. I understand some of us not rocking with the imagery and presentation, especially considering the product and who actually runs this particular company, but this woman is getting regular work, and strikes me as the type that wouldn’t do it if she felt extra disrespected by the role.
I rarely eat Popeyes, aside from the biscuits, but copped a whole meal the other evening after having a taste for it. That shyt’s more expensive than it should be, and yes, no shortage of franchises being ran by Indians and Middle Easterns who don’t wanna take coupons or honor offers. It’s f’ed up I’d rather rock with KFC still
I used to think that the black woman in the commercial was the owner, but at the same time I noticed 9/10 most of the customers in them were white and kinda made think
"Why is there hardly any black people eating in the commercial".
That's when I decided to research and found out that the real owner was a white woman.
