So we got two different accounts of what led up to the murder. Either:

She didn't want to leave before the wife came in, possibly because she wanted to be messy and tell the wife about them.

-or-

He wouldn't let her leave before the wife came home which that part confuses me so I think that is the least likely story.

Either way, he fukked up by having her in his residence, she fukked up by fukking with a criminal, his wife fukked up for even marrying him and he's gonna spend the rest of his life in jail for having an underdeveloped brain, as per the language of this site.

The version from the NYT says his stepdad was there and the woman asked him for help and to call the cops. He was outside waiting for the police to show up and he gave the story of what went down.

If the Times is accurate his account is probably closest to the truth about how the fight started. Seems more likely the killer would lie to attempt to mitigate his culpability in some way.

It doesn't make sense but trying to clean up a crime scene when someone else was there when the fight started, your victim talked to them, asked them to call for help and was gonna be returning to the house shortly, hiding a body in your bathtub from your wife...trying to shoot people in the head cause you can't get in a party...nothing he did made a lick of sense
