He doesn't fit to me . I'll admit I barely gave him more than 2 episodes but striker maybe Barnett would be better. Ross is kind of one of those back in my day guys now
I somewhat agree but I think he just needs to get acclimated to calling Japanese wrestling.

that may be why hes so casual-sounding.
I don't think he was good at wrestler kingdom either except for say maybe the last 2 matches . I just don't think he's s good fit for the style especially how a lot of time on his podcast he still preaching some of the fundamentals which go against some of the crazier young buck time splitters style matches

I was listening to jim ross commentary yesterday. Dude seems kind of off. I don't know if that comes from unfamiliarity with the product or losing a step, but he just wasn't flowing well enough.

Whatever happen to the other commentator(not the mma dude). He had a good commentating voice.

No surprises there honestly, it was Striker who carried him through WK9 because Striker was doing all of the who's what's on the guys in the ring, the stories and histories, the moves and the psychology, and JR was struggling through the whole show (the tag matches especially) and mostly did his classic "Mah Gawd!" calling for the big spots and finishes.
