You do realize that the precedent has long since been made that knowingly infecting someone with HIV without their knowledge is against the law and punishable by law from Assault with a deadly weapon, up to Attempted Murder. This is here even here in the states.

A similar precedent is being sought after to add a sexual assault charge to people that do so as well apparently. This is after the Rape by Deception and Impersonation Bill passed.

It's important to protect yourself at all times because not everyone will disclose their status. That fine big bootied woman at the club or that tall, handsome specimen in a suit doesn't care about you. They already have HIV.
HIV doesn't have a face. People are walking around right now looking like the healthiest person in the world, but are HIV positive. Some are husbands, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, FWBs, etc. Many are in denial and aren't on medication. And not all will tell you their status before having unprotected sex with you. Believe me. I have come across some of them. Their loved ones have no clue.
