Now the new exclusivity drive by Playstation is actually a conspiracy to ensure Playstation games aren't on the next x-box... :russ: These motherfukkers are obsessed.

Recent comments from reputable insiders, including discussion from our very own Jez Corden in previous years, suggest Sony could be rethinking parts of its PC strategy. That naturally raises a bigger question. If a shift is happening, could Xbox's long-rumoured Xbox PC plans have anything to do with it?
It does raise the question of whether Xbox's proposed PC console could be playing a role in Sony reconsidering its strategy. If true, it would not be the first time Sony has been accused of taking a hard-line and petty approach toward Xbox.
From resisting cross-play in the early days, to securing a litany of deals that kept certain titles off Xbox (a practice maintained to this day), to attempting to block the Activision acquisition, Sony has not exactly shied away from aggressive competitive tactics. Even the now-famous PS4 game-sharing video was a very direct punch to the face of Xbox during a moment when Xbox was vulnerable.
Whether that amounts to pettiness or simply smart business depends on where you stand, but the pattern of strong competitive positioning is certainly there.
I did also recently cover news of Marvel's Spider-Man coming to Xbox, as Insomniac said it was unlikely, however, I do point out all of the current PlayStation games on Steam which will be playable on an Xbox PC next generation.

I think that's exactly what this is about and called this a while ago. Probably not the only reason, yet part of the reasons. Playstation is still going to receive xbox games while the ps studio single player games remain exclusives. GAAS and 2nd party games will be on pc and xbox with some 2nd party games being timed exclusives. With an xbox that can play pc games, they can't take advantage of having those 2nd party games being console exclusive, especially when there is a drought, because those games will also be playable on xbox, unless they pay for exclusivity. With that Sony needs to up their game in terms of exclusives since they can't bank on 2nd party console exclusives anymore with an xbox that can play pc games.

Sony saw the rumors of the next xbox possibly being able to play pc games and knew what decision to select. GAAS games being on xbox doesn't bother Sony. Their premeire single players being on xbox is what Sony is trying to avoid.

All of a sudden Sony decides to go back to the only on playstation strategy, when they have shown they care about boosting profit as shown with these studio closures and price bumps, after years of putting premeire single player games on pc when rumors of an xbox that can play pc games appear. Not a coincidence.

Sony is pulling back (if they truly are, still doubt) because they couldn’t get mass adoption of PSN on steam

And the revenue is peanuts in the grand scheme of things

Were Sony certain that the xbox couldn't play pc games, they probably would continue to try and expand to pc with pc ports. There would be no reason to change strategy when there is additional revenue regardless of the revenue percentage compared to their other sources of revenue.

There is going to be reduced revenue due to no pc ports. No corporation is going to give up additional revenue besides not wanting to benefit a competitor. Porting to pc isn't breaking the bank so there has been profit.

The timing is not a coincidence. An xbox that can play previous xbox games, new xbox studio games, pc games, and sony single player games better than the ps5 and ps6, along with piracy? Sony would rather not.

no need to pull quotes from another site, when several people here said the same shyt

If the next Xbox is a PC, then they're not about to have ya'll playing their stuff on it.:wow:
Plus they yapping about Next Xbox having Steam
If this happens it’s definitely because xbox is going the pc route which is understandable.
etc...

Which is crazy because a Microsoft live account is a pain in the ass but everyone seems to deal with it.
