He's been openly campaigning for it since last summer. He knows this Lakers team ain't shyt and he wants to go out on a winning note.

With that said, they shouldn't give him a spot. They don't owe him anything. There are only 12 spots on the roster.
He shouldnt even want a spot. MJ wouldn't no sh1t like this. :mjpls:

basically every account about the 2008 'Redeem Team' said Kobe's commitment, and the seriousness he took those Olympics with(and all the camps/scrimmages leading up to it), shaped the team and all the players followed his lead in that regard

lets not forget Bron was only 23 at the time, and Kobe's tenacity woke everyone up quick

considering that, if Kobe wants to go out winning a Gold Medal, they should absolutely have him on the roster

USA is gonna dominate with or without him, it would be a ceremonial spot anyway, wouldn't really hurt anything. Plus he's still the most popular player in the world by a longshot and it would make all the fans in Rio happy to say goodbye to him.

where they cross-over and clap boards
This selfish smut. He better be an assistant coach or something

He better not take up a spot with his flabby ass :stopitslime:

Kobe going out like a bytch

I don't get how he's gonna retire after this yr, but play next summer in the olympics :what:

What a selftish fekket. I could understand if he never played in the olympics, but this is ridiculous. Colangelo and Rat better take a stand

unofficial mascot at this point.

:heh: Why would he even be considered?

When he said there were 200 NBA players better than him, that wasnt an exaggeration at all.

Selfish fakkit is gonna take a spot from a young gun to shine...:francis:

Dudes have my dying over here :mjlol:

I saw this bullshyt and I had to check 5 times to make sure it wasn't an Onion article. Wtf is wrong with this nutcase?

"How I feel now is that I feel like I can add value from a leadership perspective and a defensive perspective," Bryant said. "I can still move extremely well defensively."
