Women are not seen as physical threats to men but are allowed on the frontlines and into the police.
Women can also get a man attacked, even children can do that

What people, mainly feminists, call now harassment is just the result of the sexual emancipation and the weakening of the taboo surrounding sexuality.

EXACTLY!!

A lot of this is the fall out from the "sexual revolution"

Women thought they were gonna start dressing and acting like hoes while at the same time, men were just gonna be desexualized at the same time.

It don't work that way. The more our culture pushes sex and women become more sexually "liberated" guys are gonna take that more and more as an opportunity to view women as "sex objects" and that feeds into it.

That's why in those muslim countries they keep their women covered up. It's not to keep women "oppressed" necessarily, it's just dudes know how disgusting men are will take any opportunity to prey upon women, especially young, attractive women.

Not saying women should start wearing burkhas in Amerikkka, BUT women should be mindful that men are animals, always have been and always will be and no amount of whining and shaming is going to stop a young testosterone driven man from being what he is deep down evolutionarily. . . a sex-crazed beast.

There is a thin veneer of civilization in society, all it takes is a little temptation and men will always revert to the natural state. That's why we need sports and wars.

Yes, men should restrain ourselves, BUT that's not going to work 100% of the time. There's gotta be some help from the ladies too.

I mean, if you've got titties out, then you gotta know that you're testing every man on the street.

Yes, 95% of us will fight our urges not to stare or make comments TOO disgusting because we're civilized, but there'll always be that 5% who won't be able to suppress that urge, and you gotta take that in stride as long as a dude aint threatening you or putting his hands on you.

the comments thrown at him were unnecessary, but i doubt he felt in danger at any point

Feeling danger is subjective. You can be in a situation where the chance of you encountering serious harm is virtually nothing but still feel in danger. And the US is an especially frightened society.

Subjective feelings of danger aren't a good base for thinking about and designing policy. That line of thinking has led to some of the most brutal and horrific oppression this country has ever seen.

I think something should be done about street harassment and invading people's personal space in general, but it should be carefully considered and well thought out, not subject to irrational and emotional feelings of danger. Historically, such feelings of "danger" have been at the root of black people's oppression. There are plenty of examples.
