Most European luxury brands cars are actually leased instead of purchased & if this losers credit was actually stellar he could get a brand new foreign car with a full factory warranty (and in some cases depending on the brand, nearly free maintenance for a period of ownership) every 3 to 4 years (along with an option to buy the car outright at the end of the lease) for way less than paying for someone else's expensive garbage. Furthermore most of the prestige of owning a luxury foreign car in his case has been eroded or lost, because most of the people he thinks he's impressing already realize he's just fronting.

The Mercedes W221 (06-13 S-Class) has been on the road since 2005, in other words that car is almost 11 years old ...that's a very long time, they might've been $150K in 2006 but a decade later? A DECADE?

The G-Wagon is probably one of Benz's least depreciating cars & they're like $120K new
...but a 2005 G-Wagon? You're only looking at around $30k-$40k.

The 2010 S-Class at the end of the day is STILL a W221 chassis, with minor updates (new lights & bumpers), but the avg person couldn't tell the difference... THAT has a lot to do with why the face lifted version still devalues fast, because it's the same exact car with a new year but the same OLD features.

Why would I pay $60k - $100k for a car that's been around since 2005 when i can get a NEW car with new technology for the same price??? That's why cars fall off after the new body drops, because the damage ain't the same 10 years later.


...aaand you can find an eighth gen Honda Civic (2006-2011) for $3500-$6000 online, and the 2006 & the 2010 models are the SAME EXACT CAR with irrelevant differences...
