I have a job and a union membership and I contract on the side as well. My union job is on paper and the contract work is cash money. I keep my contract work going because anytime my job starts tripping I'm going to be like ✌️

That's my security. It took a lot for me to have an employer again after 6 years on my own. I'm just here for the bonuses n benefits. I can complete my full work week in 3 days. Then contract if I want for the rest of the week.

Most of it is meaningless busy work even in careers people have a passion for they have an underlying feeling of purposelessness and would have better spent their time on something else. No reason as to why you shouldn’t be paid more for said busy work either, “that’s just the way it is.” :childplease:

Here we go brehs :blessed: :
The writer was flipping Amazon items from a bin place and making thousands of dollars a month with no boss or schedule. The boss then offered the writer a job posting items for sale on OfferUp for $15 per hour, which the writer accepted. However, the boss did not keep his promise of not having to go through the bins again and became strict about what the writer could take. The job became less profitable, and the writer was unhappy with the boss's behavior and demands. The writer thinks anyone who takes the job and does not quit is a "dumbass."

The Google Bard summary

The author was making a good living flipping Amazon items from the Amazon bins. They were making a few thousand dollars per month, had no boss, and could do whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. However, they took a job posting items for sale on OfferUp/etc. for their employer. They were promised that they would no longer have to go through the bins, but this turned out to be a lie. They were still expected to go through the bins, and they were not allowed to take items without their employer's permission. This made the job much less profitable, and they eventually quit.

The author is frustrated with their employer because they feel that they were lied to and taken advantage of. They are also frustrated with themselves for taking the job, as they feel that they should have known better.

The author's experience is a cautionary tale for anyone who is considering flipping Amazon items. It is important to do your research and make sure that you understand the terms of your employment before you take a job.
